According to a description posted by Code.org on their YouTube video, 90% of US schools don't teach their student on how to code, now considered as the newest superpower.
Aside from Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, the video also features will.i.am, Chris Bosh, Jack Dorsey, Tony Hsieh, Drew Houston, Gabe Newell, Ruchi Sanghvi, Elena Silenok, Vanessa Hurst, and Hadi Partovi.
The Code.org is a non-profit foundation committed to the idea that "Every student in school should have the opportunity to learn to code." The organization was founded and funded by twin brothers Hadi and Ali Partovi, both entrepreneurs and angel investors with impressive track records of advising startups which includes Dropbox.
The organization gathered an impressive advisory board which includes Twitter creator Jack Dorsey and the co-founder of Netscape, Marc Andreessen. Stuart Feldman, Google Vice President of Engineering, Nicholas Negroponte, the chairmand and founder of M.I.T. Media Lab was also part of the board.
The Code.org video that was posted on the internet have been viral already spreading across the internet and garnered more than 5 Million hits since the first day it was posted.
The non-profit organization, Code.org intend to teach all students to code by providing a platform for students to learn. On it's learn section it lets you locate local schools to Codeacademy, Khan Academy, CodeHS to name a few.
