What is an Airdrop? An Airdrop is a free distribution of crypto coins (or tokens) to a number of members ranging from the privileged few to anyone who requests it. Most of the time, you simply have to register on the company's website and to be registered, the company offers you free tokens. In the end, a simple email address and password are enough for this type of Airdrop and in this way, the Airdrop is accessible to everyone! IMPORTANT: As a precaution, I strongly advise you to use a secondary e-mail address and password that is different from your usual password. If we do our best to offer you quality Airdrops, we are never safe from a site that would like to retrieve your email/password. Remember: crypto-money is a bit like the Wild West of modern times! 2) Distribution on Wallet The principle is similar to the "Simple Registration" Airdrops except that you will also need the address of your Wallet. In this type of Airdop, the company distributes tokens directly to your personal Wallet! No need for an account on their site. You will need to provide a valid email address and the address of your Wallet Ethereum. Sometimes you may be asked for a different wallet (wallet WAVES for example), but most of the time the token will be ERC-20 and will ask for an Ethereum wallet. Attention, you must never provide the address of your wallet located on an exchange site (kraken, binance, bittrex or other) but the address of a private wallet under penalty of never receiving your tokens. If you don't have a private wallet, I advise you to create one easily on Myetherwallet. I also recommend our article that explains step by step how to create your wallet on MyEtherWallet. Once you have filled in your e-mail and address, you will only have to wait to receive your tokens on your wallet. In order to be visible, you need to add the token to your MyEtherWallet at times in the list of available tokens. If necessary, I will mention it in my weekly articles. IMPORTANT: As a precaution, I advise you to use a secondary e-mail address. Also very important: never give the private key of your wallet to anyone! If a site asks for it, it's a scam. So don't confuse your address that you use to receive your tokens with your private key that you use to access your wallet. 3) Snapshot Snapshot Airdrops are very different from the two previous ones. To distribute tokens to you, the company will make an inventory, a photo of the content of your wallet at a given moment. Depending on the number of tokens (or crypto-money) you own, you will be entitled to a certain number of tokens. For example, you will be offered 10 EXE tokens for every ETH you have on your wallet. This snapshot can be done by analyzing the number of ETHs you have, but it can also be done by looking at the number of BTCs you have on your Bitcoin wallet. Each company decides which crypto-currency it wants to snapshot. We can also offer you 0.1 EXE for each EXE you hold (EXE is a purely fictitious cryptographic currency invented for the understanding of this example). To participate in this type of Airdrop, you will often only be asked for the address of your Wallet (which must be a private wallet). It is about Airdrop realized by the companies via the forum Bitcointalk. org. On this forum, which is one of the best known in the crypto-money world, each member has a rank according to his seniority and number of posts. Depending on your rank, many companies distribute a certain number of tokens to you for a certain price. The action can be very simple like posting your wallet address as a comment (logic), or make them a little publicity by modifying your personal signature on the site. Some of them have very specific requests and these will always be stated on the BitcoinTalk forum. It is up to you to read them and respect them. BitcoinTalk Airdrops can have a very large scale and make you earn several thousand euros if you have an account with an advanced rank. I therefore advise you to quickly open an account on Bitcointalk in order to start collecting seniority and start writing a few posts on their forum. Please write constructive posts as spam is not tolerated on this forum. 5) Other Other types of Airdrop have been identified to date.
