Will Fortnite remain competitive after some months/years of other competitive games?

Epic Games does give its fair share of money in the pools, however after that theres alot of issues, such as op "aimbot" that epic has given to controller players, according to the fanbase, and just a general uncompetitive atmosphere, aswell as not being as welcoming to players, for example new players finding a sweat squad on their first match. Valorant seems to be giving a competition, though it would have to gain a biiit more popularity.
