Why do we follow the "Law"?

The "law" is a concept we were heavily brainwashed into from birth. Societal norms, the discipline of our parents, and our upbringing (schooling, for example), have put us into following this system called the "law." We all follow the social structure of "government," with a religious-like seriousness. We all follow the "law" like it matters; like it is the common thing you do not mess with.
What if we were to unite against the law? What if we were to defy the law? All of us?
