This is a warning to all coin newbies and some older users who are not as experienced or active in field. Coin exchanges are sites that offer to exchange your BTC for another alt coin, i.e. dogecoin.
Coin exchanges are NOT all trusted. EVEN trusted ones should be watched carefully.
They can LEGALLY hold all your crypto that you wanted exchanged and never offer to return it. Under new regulations of anti-laundering, they can claim they want to verify your crypto funds for anti-laundering. And until you provide proper identification and EVEN source of funds. They will not give your funds back.
You can compare this to GayPal and its limitation system of accounts it considers suspicious or do not like.
I used to use https://classic.shapeshift.com/#/coins in 2016-2017 on a weekly basis, pay the crypto and you get funds immedietly on confirmation. it was the BOMB. But they ask now verification

There are other sites online available. Such as https://godex.io/
I personally DO NOT trust this site, its dodgy in my opinion even though it has TrustPilot reviews with a rating of 4.8. But when you select negative reviews, you get a picture of what dirty stuff they do.
Just take a look at this review.
And view the site's response.
So essentially until this poor guy loses all his anonymity, the funds are kept by the "partner's cold storage". Sounds like a nice donation! And it must have been a pretty large amount if someone posted this on TrustPilot and it also caught the eye of the site for a response. Furthermore, they claim that due to hackings
There is only one site that I recommend to exchange coins and that is this site.
Bitcoin transactions are NOT anonymous like many believe... future discussion.
