You read right. Yeah so it's been a while since I've upgraded my CPU. It's still chugging along decent gaming wise but time is finally starting to catching up to it. I've upgraded my GPU over the years, currently it's paired with a 2060 Super 8gb. I game at 1080p at the moment but might upgrade my monitor a year or two after my CPU upgrade.
My plan for an upgrade would be for it to last roughly as long as the i7-3770K has. Based on what I've gathered from here and there the 7800X3D would seem like a rather solid choice.
Are there any other options that have slipped past me, other recommendations for upgrading my CPU or am I heading in the right direction?
