Unpacking an mmo exe

I have a private maplestory server executable, which I want to reverse-engineer. The program was obfuscated by Confuser, I think, and I deobfuscated using tutorials online. Now, I used de4dot to decrypt the unicodes into readable english. I checked the codebase, and everything looks great, readable code, etc. However, I am unable to run the program, it just exists out without meaningful error message. I am not sure if I can ask for help in this forum, but would anyone give me a hand in solving this problem? Am stuck with this for past 48 hours
