Hey guys,
Just a little tip for the ones who have a low resolution picture and need to expand it to a higher resolution.
We'll be requiring Illustrator for this.
First of for this example ill be using this image
Its from the totally epic new Hotline Miami game.
I wanted a wallpaper of this but couldnt find a high res of the same picture (i could if I took 5 minutes out of my life but eh)
so now that you have your picture fire up illustrator and create a new document with the size you want the picture to be.
go to FIle > Open
and open up your picture
click and drag it to the new document you made previously.
click on the picture and click on the little arrow next you Image Trace on the top center
select the option you prefer, in most cases you want high fidelity photo.
Once its done click on Expand in the same spot on the top
youll get a bunch of blue vectors (because they are selected)
just resize the thing to the size you want and tadaaaa ! youre done.
I put sort of in the title because depending on the image the results may vary, you'll often get a more abstract feel to it than the original, if anybody knows of a better way feel free to share.
RESULTS:
Before
After
Hope this helps some of yall out
