Thoughts on the new gangplank?

I need your thoughts on the new gangplank. I just got enough IP for him and im considering buying him or shyvana. Both champions seem to be meta now but i dont know much about the new gangplank. Im also more of a top laner than a jungler. Pros and Cons would be great and also if possible give me a build list for both champions [ top lane ]
