Thoughts On EA's Loot Boxes

What are the community's thoughts on Loot Box reward systems? Or as Ea likes to refer to them as, "surprise mechanics?" I am an avid sports game and games like FIFA imo have been ruined by FUT. THe developers don't spend as much time on other game modes because they don't make money like FUT does. Pro clubs imo has the capacity to be amazing yet they don't devote any time or resources to it. i can imagine one day, 22 players on a video game playing football being watched by thousands on ESPN. It would be really cool. Professional clubs like MUFC and LFC could market the teams as well. Liverpool sucks by the way. The reward you get from the "surprise mechanics" is rigged imo as it is. You don't get much return on investment. The odds of packing something useful is so low. I hope that legislators will do something about this because it is gambling in a game marketed to children. I hope this requires the removal. EA won't go down without a fight though as they may over a billion dollars on FUT each year alone.
