Ok, I want to share my experience so far with various bots and would love to hear from everyone else what their experience has been since the update. I made it to TH10 without botting at all, and then about 1 month before the big update, I was introduce to botting with MyBot.Run... I must say, I loved the bot especially the various controls available with pushbullet and the fact that it was open source and anyone could build mods for the bot. Unfortunately, after the big clash update, the development on this bot was slow. So, I searched around for alternatives and found ClashBot/BoostBot. It worked OK, not as well as MyBot did before the update, but I was seeing an increase in loot... In any case, in looking around at what other options were available I found a few others... but for the most part there seem to be a few major branches of bots with variants making copies.
Now that you have my life story, onto my botting experience per bot:
My first experience, as previously stated, was...
MyBot.Run:
Pros:
  • I love the granular configurability about this bot, and the modding community that has developed around it.
  • When you find good settings, it is super consistent and is able to keep you in a trophy RANGE better than some others
  • Kind of part of the first point here, but being open source...
  • Stats
  • I'm trying the milking attack method at the moment, seems to be doing ok so far.
  • Troop building configurations
  • Four Finger attack method (depending on which modded version you get)
  • You can build your own attack methods
  • Some modded versions will allow you to build an attack strategy within the gui (including some spell usage)
Cons:
  • For TH11 bases finding a sweet spot for consistent loot is difficult at the moment with this bot
  • Search criteria (collector and TH matching) seems inconsistent
First Milking Results:
I got interrupted with my personal break, so i don't have a long time frame for reference yet but...
If this holds true, it looks like this could be a feasible option for TH11 farming
Clashbot/BoostBot/RacoonBot:
Pros:
  • (For TH11) Seems to be decent at getting loot
  • Very Stable and consistent (if you find a good trophy range, you can do well)
  • The paid version has some nice features
  • the interface feels cleaner
  • TH and collection identification seemed to be better than Mybot
Cons:
  • Didn't feel as configurable compared to MyBot
  • If you are not in a decent trophy range, it will deplete all of your gold quickly
  • The upgrading of buildings doesn't feel as easy to use as MyBot
LazyPressing:
Unfortunately, I haven't had any experience with this one yet, but it does intrigue me. The interface doesn't look clean, but it looks feature rich. Has anyone had experience with this bot they would like to share?
Overall impressions:
While I was TH10 Clashbot/Boostbot seemed to work the best at getting Gold/Elixir/DE than MBR... The trophy range that I spent most of my time in while loot was decent was Crystal 1-2, but mostly mid to high crystal 1. In TH11, the loot was ok in this range, but I started looking elsewhere to see if I could find better loot. So far, I've ran looting sessions down through Silver 3 without much luck. Currently, I am running a "Milking" mod on MyBot.Run in the 600-900 trophy range... The idea being you use fewer troops (goblins for this particular mod) per raid and raid more frequently. I see a lot of bases with TH on the outside and ocassionally see collectors over 75% full. I typically get between 30 - 70k gold and elixir and a few hundred dark, however I seem to be attacking more frequently. The only issue I have seen so far is that the TH detection (to snipe TH on the outside) seems to be a little buggy but it doesn't seem to be causing too many issues with loss of loot.
Given this, if you are a TH11 and looking for decent loot I would suggest moving up to crystal 1 and using ClashBot (I can share setting I was using, if you like). I tend to run my bot starting around midnight and letting it run 4-5 hours in a session. It is too early for me to suggest any methods involving milking bases.
Now, let me know what you think, and what your impressions have been so far especially if you have experience with the LazyPressing bot.
I look forward to hearing from you!
