This coin is currently around 705 satoshi's - Which is pretty cheap for what Sia.Tech is doing and coming out with.
Currently Sia Tech is releasing some info friday about a ASIC that would work with mining their coin.
What is Siacoin / Sia Tech?
Sia Tech is / has created a decentralized cloud storage platform. Encrypted.
You can become a host and basically rent out your spare hard drive storage.
Sia Tech is going up against dropbox, google cloud, amazon, ect. Which could either flop or explode.
With more and more data breaches and the likes of hackers, Sia plans and is creating a storage platform that will protect your data, FOR A CHEAP PRICE.
I am pretty sure currently on Sia, 2TB data a month is $10.
