Chicken Chop Suey
Warning - This tastes just like and even better than the Chop Suey you will order at a chinese restaurant.

What is Chop Suey?
Chop-Suey is a dish made of various vegetables such as bamboo shoots, mung bean sprouts and mushrooms. In addition, it may include thin slices of pork, beef or chicken.
Necessary ingredients:
Step 1: Cut and arrange vegetables
I like to chop my vegetables before I start cooking.
You remove the broccoli stalk from the broccoli, cut the carrots into quarters, the peppers into small 3cm squares, the green beans into stalks about 5cm long.
Now put all these ingredients on a plate and take the next plate.
On this plate you put the mung bean sprouts, mushrooms, and the zucchini cut into circles.
Finally, only garlic and spring onions need to be chopped. You can put these in a bowl for now.
We have separated the plates due to the fact that some vegetables need a longer cooking time than others.
Step 2: Soak Mu Err Mushrooms (If Used)
Simply pour hot water over Mu Err mushrooms and let sit for ten minutes.
Step 3: Marinate chicken
- half teaspoon of salt,
- a little pepper,
- a little bit of garlic,
- a tablespoon of light soy sauce,
- a teaspoon of cornstarch,
Mix all this well and let it marinate.
While the marinade is soaking into the meat, we will make the sauce.
Step 4: Sauce
Stir and the sauce is ready.
Step 5: Cooking
First we fry the chicken meat, with chicken meat it is always important that it is well done.
Once the meat is cooked, we put it on a plate and caramelize the onions and garlic in the pan.
Once the onions and garlic are browned, we add the peppers, green beans, broccoli and carrots.
While sautéing on low, add a little water to help the vegetables cook faster.
Next, add the mushrooms and zucchini with a little water.
To let it simmer for a while you can also put the lid on the pan until the desired consistency is reached.
Finally, add the mung bean sprouts and the Mu Err mushrooms.
By the way, rice tastes especially delicious with Chop Suey!
