Hello, as many of you, nostalgia has an effect on me as well and I'm tempted into buying into the hype.
That being said I've always felt like the biggest issues that drove me from WoW has been the progressive casualization and theme parking of WoW that started in Wotlk.
I remember how in classic and tbc socializing was a core key of the progress (either positive or negative), you needed to actually find party members, travel to the instance, fight against other faction members, etc.
This was something that made WoW a great experience to me, hell even for some quests you actually needed to group, the constant interaction you necessarily needed to do in order to progress in the game.
And while all of this happened you made friends and foes, had laughs, stress, flame and whatever.
But the game really did feel like a massively multiplayer game.
I then left after the first or second patch of Cataclysm and came back for Mists of Pandaria and I was depressed about how much lonely the game felt. Empty world, everybody just choring their way up to the level cap and LFR, I jus didn't enjoy the experience at all.
Not only you could see all the dungeons without ever talking with somebody, but you could actually see the latest raiding content without even talking to anyone.
This theme-parking of WoW really made the game feel so boring and took away the most important part of a multiplayer game: interaction with people.
I could agree that for high level players the convenience brought by all these looking for X tools was great and could really simplify their raiding life, but I've also seen how new players had basically little interaction with each other and eventually dropped out of the game.
So here are my questions:
does classic wow has 40 men raids?
does classic wow implements a LFR/LFD system?
