In 2011, the PSN had remained off-line pendant more than 23 days following a hack, paralyzing the connections to the online service of Sony in a total way and connecting 77 million account in nature.
Today, the fear of reviving a piracy of this same PSN is real, while we learn that the group of pirates OurMine seized the identifiers Twitter and Facebook of the official accounts of Sony PlayStation this weekend, publishing Alert messages.
Explanations. OurMine pirate PlayStation on Twitter and Facebook It all started last weekend, plus the official PlayStation Twitter account released an unusual message: "PlayStation, please contact us, we have recovered the PlayStation Network account database." A few minutes later, another familiar message was published: "No, we are not going to share it, we are a security group. If you work at PlayStation, then visit our site and contact us." In the past, this same group of hackers, OurMine, had already spoken by hacking the official accounts of Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook CEO), Brendan Iribe (Oculus Rift) and Sundar Pichai (Google). Should we fear a real threat of piracy from millions of PSN accounts in the coming days all over the world? Towards a giant PSN hack?
Visibility, OurMine is not a group of hackers of the "black hat" type, that is to say that their actions are in theory non-profit, only dedicated to highlighting security flaws to large groups. For now, there's no evidence that OurMine really got hold of the millions of PlayStation Network accounts, plus the airplane threat, other groups with pu could seize the data before OurMine. On our side, a dozen members of the Playerone.tv community came back last week to hacking or attempting to hack their PSN account, which may indicate that fraudulent activities are ramping up on the Sony network.
We advise you for a few things to protect your PSN account from this kind of problems, to not lose your games and other valuable data. We will keep you informed of any new information coming to us via our Facebook page and a new article.
