The world's leading software company, Microsoft has just released a Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows 8. The main purpose of the SDK is for the developers to use the platform in developing Windows Azure Store apps that will take advantage of the cloud services and Windows Azure.
The program was named by Microsoft Research as Project Hawaii, an initiative to investigate the role of the cloud in enhancing how people use mobile devices.
The latest SDK, Project Hawaii is a set of services and tools that you can can use in your Windows 8, or Windows Phone apps. It includes a number of cloud services, starting with the Social Mobile Sharing (SMASH) Service.
The service will give developers an easy way to prototype apps that provide some element of social computing. Smash provides general sharing mechanism for observable collections.
Another service that can be use with the latest SDK, is the path prediction service that users of mobile app can use to predict a user's destination based on the information about their current route.
