Passive income with streaming site still a thing?

Two years ago I learned to know this forum because of this exact thing. Ive read stories of people making a movie site and get rich fairly quick. Ive tried it with this forum, and I mean it worked but didnt get the recognition I thought so I stopped. is somebody still trying that and making a living out of it? I know there are countless streaming sites but its hard to get that much traffic
