Most profitable currency to mine in 2018?

So I hear that apparently a currency called Monero is supposed to be the most profitable coin to mine but I'm really not an expert at this sort of stuff and would like to get other people's opinion at what is probably the most profitable "coin" to mine in 2018? The price of one Monero is about 300$ apperently and that's why I don't see at as very profitable, or am I wrong? What do you guys think?
