So, I run a small Shoppy store on which I sell retail Windows 10 Pro licenses.
Around 20 days ago, I got a query on Shoppy named "R&W Message" shown below:
Now, there's things that make me suspicious of the guy. Firstly, his IP address keeps changing, one moment he's in Oxford, England the next he's in Johannesburg, South Africa. Secondly, he's messaging me from an email "brownkevs19**@gmail.com" some censored (of course). He keeps asking for personal info such as an email to provide "formal notices" from Microsoft. Now, I haven't provided him anything yet so he can't contact me via any other service than just Shoppy's support system.
Obviously, I don't want to get into legal waters with Microsoft however I'm questioning this guy because he's targeting a small store like mine which makes basically 0 money, rather than working on the big guys such as G2A, Kinguin, CJsCDKeys etc. So, what do you guys think? Should I give him a throwaway email to "formally contact" me with?
Sam.
