Today I will share with you my guide on how you can make money online too.
The DIFFICULTY
For this method, you will need to put in some work.
It is not a get quick bucks scheme that mostly won’t work.
Also, there is competition. But there is still room for you too.
THE MAIN IDEA
You will set up and prepare landing pages for various small businesses.
For this, you will need to know at least the basics of HTML / CSS / JS (But there are plenty of tutorials for this).
Also at the end of this post, I have attached a lot of templates that will help you get going.
TUTORIAL
What customers often ask before hiring you?
They often ask about samples – the projects you worked on previously.
And if you don’t have what to show it is a high chance that you will be rejected – this was for me like 5 times.
I came up with an idea to host a portfolio website, by showing my works (the works from the templates archive that are attached in the link below).
What price you should charge?
It is a tricky question. When starting this journey I was rejected few times when the customer asked me about the price for the work. Before setting the price, you should test the marketplace of your country. The test can be simply as pretending to be a customer and posting on your local Facebook group (where all tech guys are part of it). You will receive tons of messages from developers who will offer their services. By this, you can explore what pricing is in your area. Try to negotiate to check what is the lowest price they would ask. Find some websites and just ask "How much would cost to make such website?".
How to compete with everyone and find customers?
The first thing that helped me as I mentioned - to create your personal portfolio website - buy a domain name, make it look professional - upload some of the templates attached. Maybe even host some of them under different domains to make it look more realistic.
Find FB groups that are about Developer Community, also you can look up existing websites (some of the websites are awful and you could provide with better-looking ones). This helped me to find 3 customers already.
When trying to grab a customer who makes a post in the group, use real-looking fake accounts to promote your main account (do it with caution to not just spam each post).
My current stats:
In the past 2 months, I have found 9 customers. I charge 250$ per landing page. So far I made 9 x 250 = 2250$
NOTE - I think the results may vary depending on the country. I am from one of the bottom countries of the EU. In my country, there are A LOT of small businesses.
The first customer is the hardest one. It took me 1 week to find my first customer after being rejected a lot of times but those rejections helped me to understand my mistakes. And now it is not that hard to negotiate also with each customer portfolio grows thus adding more credibility and testimonial for future customers. During chats with new customers, I often show which landing pages I delivered.
How long does it take to "cook" a landing page?
It really depends on the customer some are picky and needy but most of the customers just want the landing page. (Show the various templates you have, you can even find more on the internet).
