Starting Out
To be able to obtain the most clients, it is recommended that you know the concepts of Algebra I and II. Adding additional subjects beyond this point will expand your clientele. I recommend using the site Khan Academy to learn:
Through Khan Academy, you can compress 1 semester of courses into a few days. This means that within a month you will be able to master multiple subjects.
If you are new to math, I recommend this path of learning:
Try to achieve a 100 in each section of the courses before passing onto the next section. Once you have completed these four, you will be ready to begin tutoring.
If you would like to earn more and gain more clients, continue with these courses:
Through Khan Academy you will be able to learn multiple school years of subjects within 1 or 2 months.
Finding Clients
If you are in high school or college, you can find clients through classroom interaction. If you can get an average above 90+ you should be able to garner interest for tutoring. I also recommend checking with your teachers if there are programs to tutor lower grade levels, which can lead to additional tutoring opportunities.

Once you sign up, you will be able to choose your neighborhood and see posts from those in your area. You may now post about your tutoring services with your hourly rates.
