2 tablespoons yeast
All purpose flour
Self-rising flour
4 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
Oil for deep frying
Honey, (warmed)
2 tablespoons oil
Chopped nuts
2 tablespoons ouzo or
brandy
cinnamon

Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water. Add sugar, oil, ouzo or brandy, and remaining water and mix in well. Alternately stir in both types of flour in equal amounts until mixture resembles thick pancake batter. Let rise until bubbly, about 30 to 45 minutes. Deep fry several spoonfuls at a time, in hot oil (about 375º) until golden. Drain. Drizzle with warmed honey or honey syrup. Sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon. Serve hot immediately.
