So I’ve never really been into using BTC but had an account nevertheless to comply if a situation required it. Long story short, i logged into my CB account on my browser waiting for a payment to be received. About a minute later, while I was checking my account out ( the account details and stuff ) i got logged out automatically. Within that second i received an email that my payment had been received. I had not yet seen it. A minute later exactly, i received 2 emails from coinbase. First with subject “ NOTICE OF ACCOUNT CLOSURE “ and the second with the subject “ Your Coinbase Account has been successfully deleted “. In utter shock I couldn’t believe what happened and tried logging back in but it said either the password or mail was incorrect. Mind you that the email I received about the payment being received had an address of CB’s office in the UK, in the footer. The latter emails did not have that. All my previous CB emails had the footers. I suspect the attacker has changed my email that was associated with my coinbase account as when I tried resetting my CB pass, it said i was emailed about the instructions but did not receive any mail. I am totally lost and have opened a complaint with CB but they are yet to respond.
