LoL crashing on Win 8.1

LEVEL 1 200 XP
Recently while using BoL, upon reaching 100% loading in game, I get a black screen, crash and get a tiny window that says "BAD CONFIG!!' Any idea? I've tried running BoL with no scripts activated, not a single feature and it still does it, but once I close BoL I can play the game just fine.
