The Overview
I'm not a huge fan of what most people think of when they hear 'marketing'. If you're like me when you hear that word you almost believe it's selling something to someone. Convincing them why your product is good.
I'm really not into that...
I see myself more as someone who solves peoples problems. They ask, I deliver.

Now I want you to imagine what would happen if you applied this to marketing an affiliate product.
If you're imagining insane conversions you are correct!
Combine this with tactically being at the right place at the right time. What do I mean by this?
Simply put imagine you spill 8 boxes of cereal all over your living room floor and you don't own a vacuum or broom of any kind.
If Billy the salesman knocks on your door and offers to sell you a vacuum you'd be not only glad he showed up but you would likely be willing to pay more and you would not care too much about the brand it could be Dyson it could be SuckerTubeThingyv5000 from alibaba, you really won't care.
That example is of course for cereal. Imagine more urgent matters like acne, makeup, supplements, ebooks that provide a life changing solution etc...

The first thing to do is find a product and niche. Here is what we are going to do....
SOLVE PEOPLES PROBLEMS
I want you to go on YouTube and spend some hours with a notepad by your side getting lost in the links. Find videos for acne, makeup, health hacks, motivation, productivity, making money, the list can go on forever.
Don't waste too much time watching the videos. Read the comments! Take notes on what people appreciate and what people feel like they need/can't find. Notice trends and from there pick a handful of potential niches that you want to focus on.
Next head over to an affiliate network. Clickbank tends to the best. But if you really want to explore you can check out JVZoo. Notice that these are mostly for digital products. For physical products go with Amazon Associates or Comission Junction.
Find offers that align with the goals of your target audience and your research.

But seriously.. don't be a low quality blood sucking pest. You want to be helping people.
Don't worry the money will come. Don't just take the highest paying offers. You'll have a much harder time crafting stories/analogies when you don't believe in what you're selling.

Make only one account per niche. You don't want to be answering teeth whitening and getting jacked questions on the same account. It's just not congruent.
Here is where the magic happens!
You're going to build up the reputation of your account by genuinely being active and helping people based on research you've done in your niche.
Once you feel you've decently spiced up your profile it's time to start referring people.
Your going to literally craft up personal stories and analogies and write them in a place to be used for later. When you answer questions apply the appropriate story/analogy. You don't always have to use one. Be very thoughtful and give a decently long answer on questions that you put a link in.
Always make sure they know it's something you've tried this conveys social proof. Even though there is no actual proof lol. But if someone with flawless skin on YouTube says they drink FitTea and that's what did it you'd be like "wow FitTea is legit" even though there is no real way to prove it.
As you post more and more answers in more and more niches you develop what I like to call 'Internet Income Properties'
You'll have your links all over the site. In fact, sometimes the person who took your advice will come back to your link when mentioning it on social media, in blogs, and to their friends.
The reason I use the term Internet Income Properties is because that's how I view them. You want to take them seriously and invest proper effort in niche research, audience research, finding a product, crafting your stories/analogies, and helping people.
This is how you are going to reap the rewards of The Cynefin Formula.
Summed up... you're being paid excellent money to recommend products to people. But these people are asking questions. As we learned in the quote above when someone is asking questions they are in a receptive state.
If you come across as a knowledgeable source and you use stories and analogies in your answer your conversions will be excellent. And if you're actually taking the time to research and help people than you really are making a positive difference in the lives of people. It's a win win!
