I am a dad who plays Fortnite with my kids. Since I play in the same room as my children, but on different screens & devices, I am able to watch their screens simultaneously as I play with them. I frequently see players who have a skin enabled on one device appear simultaneously as a "no skin" on the other device.
It has happened to me, personally, but I've started documenting it happening to other players in the game as well (see attached video). I'm starting to think this is a pervasive issue. Sorry, but if I'm going to spend $20 on a skin, everyone else in the game better darn well be seeing it.
At first I thought this might only be affecting bots. Perhaps bots are put in skins on PS / Xbox, but then put in default skins on the Switch to improve performance. But this video shows pretty clearly that a human player's skin was not being displayed across platforms. Furthermore, I've documented players who have skins on the Switch and appear as "no skins" on the PS4.http://essaywriter.fun/
What's going on? Has anyone else noticed this? Is it common knowledge? I feel like I'm getting robbed. Do others have thoughts?
