I can't handle high expectations coming from my parents

I have been doing well in my studies ever since I studied and that made my parents expectations high but now I want to enjoy my life go with my friends without thinking too much about my report card, just enjoy high school to make it simple but I don't want my parents to get mad or sad if I can't reach their expectations.
This is just too much I don't know what to do, should I talk to them in private and explain my side?
