Bitcoin Refunds are a SCAM and most people fall for it
Why though, you might be wondering, let me explain :
Let's say you bought from a seller a config of $100 on Jan 3 2021 using BTC (you paid him $100 worth btc which was equal to 0.0030 BTC on Jan 3 2021)
Well he sends you the config and you test it on Jan 4 2021 (the next day) and to your surprise the config doesn't work, so you tell him, he ignores you till 6 Jan 2021, he finally replies and send you a working config which he fixed, that also doesn't work, this keeps going till 13 Jan 2021, where you are finally fed up and have a file a skem report and ask for refund of $100 to your btc wallet, he decides to refund on 14 Jan 2021 and he sends your $100 worth btc which is equal to 0.0026 BTC on 14 Jan 2021
So you basically got skemmed for $14.40 (or 0.0004 BTC)
And scammer kept your $14
Basically on Jan 3 you sent him 0.00030 BTC not $100
So you should have gotten a refund of 0.0030 BTC not 0.0026 BTC
How to prevent this?
Don't ask USD amount in refund when btc is booming, tell to send exact btc you sent that day not usd
Thanks for reading!
