So after many experiments, here’s what worked..
Update, just used THE SAME METHOD RIGHT AFTER I MADE THIS POST:
I just used this method for the second time AGAIN after typing this post, already has 917 views and 33 likes!! https://prnt.sc/Ft2MHqjsRS5r
Update update: now it’s almost at 2k views AGAIN! Everyone, use SHORTS now!!!!
1. Find already viral content (reddit, tiktok, etc.)
2. Make sure video is really short
3. Before uploading to YT shorts, make sure thumbnail shows something funny but doesn’t reveal the pun
4. Use minimal hashtags (I used 6 including tiktok & releated ones. YT shorts wants to show it is better than tiktok so using these hashtags makes them push it more)
5. Make sure caption is personal ex. “would you try this?, what would you do? (Emoji), “how would you feel?”
6. Notes: I added my own sound and didn’t even use the video’s sound yet it still worked. I had the tiktokwatermark and it still worked
7. Results: people found my video through shorts feed, and searching “shorts” yet I had no keyword that used shorts. 2.5k views, 8 subscribers, 84 likes, 1 comment, 5 dislikes.
8. They were right, YouTube is looking for people who use shorts to be the new creators on their platform, so take advantage while it’s easy. Use my formula. I’ve gotten views before but over time I’m learning and figuring out more.
