Hey guys just wanted to share a little story.
I was a fat ugly nerd in school and didn't have much going. I played video games all day and sucked at that too. I looked at ways to hack the game and eventually started coding my own hacks which I shared with the community. I started to get kind of well known around the league hacking/scripting community after leaking a major bug which allowed people to get rp for free and sharing a popular auto queuing program amongst other things hehe.
I stopped after landing my first job at a startup. That went okay but then an internal recruiter at a top tier consultancy scouted me out. I passed their interview relatively easily and after waiting a few months started work. It was incredible to say the least. On my first week they flew me out to another country to meet some business leaders paying for literally everything. When I came back my office (in one of those fancy sky scrapers) they gave me all the tech I ever wanted: speced out macbook pro, monitors, mobile phones, mobile hot spots etc.. and just assigned me a bunch of mentors who subsequently introduced me to some really complex, interesting and amazing software projects for banks, governments, other corporations and wealthy startups.
So its been a fun ride the past 4 years and I've learnt a lot and oh did I mention there was a constant flow of free food and alcohol
