Just 2 years ago I was sleeping under a bush barely having food and legal troubles, and my whole family hated me. Now I am doing great I have a great job, I pray regularly, exercise daily and eat healthy. I just wanted to make this post for anyone who's going through a rough patch. Not to sound like a green bean or anything but talk to god, he listens. I was homeless for a little over a year, and the only thing that kept me pushing was this saying: It gets greater later
Around 2 months after I started praying for some type of sign that things would get better, I was sitting on a curb by the wawa early in the morning like 3 am smoking a cigarette, beat to shit by the hot florida sun that i was in for the last couple months non stop. A preacher rolled up in a truck, I had no idea he was a preacher or anything and he bought me some food and a drink and a pack of cigarettes and then asked if I talked to god, I said no. Anyways, he prayed with me and I went to sleep on my cardboard that night, and then the next day in the afternoon he came back and bought me more food and we parted ways. A week or so after that, my family got into contact with me and we got all of our differences sorted out. About a month after that, I was able to get into a shelter. I took that money, and saved it up and got a bunch of books about business & finances. Now I am a financial advisor, things are still kind of hard because I am doing it all on my own, but I have my own apartment, food whenever I need it, a shower every night (I went 6 months without showering or anything) and a bed to sleep on. It may not sound like a whole lot but when you go from sleeping under a bush waking up to a bug crawling on your face to an air conditioned apartment, it is luxury. Anybody going through anything, I want you to just remember this saying, it got me through a lot. "It gets greater later". Cut out all negativity from your life and focus on the positive. Get into them books, people sell them for cheap on craigslist.
