Caught on an idle moment, stuck in a heavy traffic or simply with a group of friends and want something
fun to do? This thread is all about fun and games. Here are some of the games you might want to try out.
Please keep this thread clean and try to follow the format if you want to contribute something.
Game 1: Identity Game (8 or more players | Ages 12 and up)
Before beginning the game, each players choose a unique pose or "identity", they can choose anything
simple or something elaborate but it must be done in one beat. E.g. raised both hands up, twisted arms,
looking up with tongue sticking out, etc. Any identity covering the eyes are discourged.
One beat is equivalent to one clap in the sequence (see below).
All players start by slapping their laps twice and ending each cycle with a clap. It matches the tempo
of "We will rock you" by Queen.
The game begins with each player forming a cicle facing the middle, everyone takes turn in introducing
their chosen identity by replacing the clap with their pose every cycle clock-wise. The game master (you)
can have this "introduction" phase in two (2) rounds to let everyone familiarize themselves with the
different identities.
Once everyone has been oriented with every player's identity, the game master starts the game
by doing the pose/identity chosen replacing the clap. Everyone else will clap. Nobody is allowed
to miss a tap or clap else the round ends and the one who misses first earns a point.
Then, the game master 'calls' or passes the signal to another player by replacing the clap on the next
cycle by doing that player's pose/indentity.
The player that owns that pose/identity must then respond by replacing the clap with his pose on the
next cycle and then must signal the next player by doing that player's identity.
The number of cycles since the game started is already four (4) by this time so the sequence must be
like this for the caller [a]:
tap-tap (identity of the calling player [a]), tap-tap (identity of the called player ), tap-tap clap, tap-tap clap…
The sequence for the called player:
tap-tap clap, tap-tap clap, tap-tap (identity of the calling player ), tap-tap (identity of the called player [any other player including a]), tap-tap clap…
The sequence for every other non-called player:
tap-tap clap, tap-tap-clap, tap-tap clap… and so on
Each round is done when:
focus and its complexity depends on the difficulty and variation of the identity and the pace
or tempo of each cycle (tap-tap clap). Game progresses in difficulty as each player changes
their chosen identity at the end of the game and/or the number of players increase or decrease.
Players might want to play the game with two (2) rounds without using any sound and then
might want to introduce a specific unique sound matching the identity. This adds another
dimension to the fun. Enjoy!

Each round is done when:
- A called player misses his cue
- A called player fails to properly execute another player's identity
- Any player messes up the sequence
- A player reaches the maximum number of points (as agreed among the players)
