Getting frustrated with online java courses, I want a mentor preferably free.

Hey I'm trying to learn java and stuff like that so I can build programs and android apps, but online courses are just not cutting it for me. Don't get me wrong a lot of the online courses and videos out there are very thorough and helpful but I think I might find it easier to have someone help me. I would prefer not to pay but I can if I must. tanks in advance, I know this is a very helpful community
