In Transbaikalia, the FSB detained a gang of hackers who hacked the State Services of SVO fighters.
In the Transbaikal Territory, FSB and Ministry of Internal Affairs officers detained members of a criminal group who hacked the personal accounts of the State Services service and online banks of Russians. This was reported to Lenta.ru by the press service of the regional department of the FSB of Russia.
According to security officials, since 2022, the hackers have been gaining access to the services of citizens, including participants in the special military operation (SVO). The detainees used them to take out loans from banks and microcredit organizations, after which they withdrew the money through a chain of bank accounts and crypto wallets.
Searches were conducted in the homes of the detainees, phones, computers, SIM cards, bank cards and portable storage devices were seized. A criminal case has been opened, the damage to the victims is estimated at more than three million rubles.
Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg hackers broke into the accounts of ten citizens on the State Services website and issued loans in their name.
