The Yakuza series (SOLO) :
Starting by Yakuza 0. These games are amazing, it's a sort of beat them all game where you're playing strong personalities caracters such as Majima & Kiryu. Mini games, strong story, funny moments that's what you can expect from these games. To be clear the order would be : Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza 3, 4, 5, 6 and the last got out in 2020 and has changes in the gameplay but the game was loved by everyone, Yakuza - Like A Dragon.
Fallout 3 (SOLO) :
Before anything, you should give a try to the first games, Fallout 1 & 2. They're pretty old games but they were liked by the people. So about Fallout 3, it's my favorite from far, the quests are great, imagine you activating a nuclear bomb that's in the middle of a city and watch it explode from a restored tower? Being able to unleash ghouls into this tower after ? Having giant super mutants (behemots) running into you to break your bones. All this for the purpose of " Project Purity ". Story is good, you should play or re-play it with some mods (don't get everyone nude please Pepegun )
Fallout New Vegas (SOLO) :
Story starts for you being a simple courrier..? You got shot and someone stole your package. This game is full of betrayals, pacts & craziness. Get the control of the Mojave with the help of local communities, help the RNC (militaries) or Caesar's Legion. Or just kill them both to rebuild everything. Game has a reputation system for every community in the game, communities that all have their own storylines. It's a great game if you like having to choose who's your ally & enemy and to impact the storyline by your own choices. Get some mods and go for it.
Dofus (MMORPG) :
Dofus stands for "Dragon Egg", it's a frenchie game and I feel like people didn't even hear about it but it's really a good game. It's a turn by turn tactical game. Cute designs, unlimited gameplay possibilities, play up to 8 caracters at the same time to build up your own team. Game has a subscription to unlock the full world. But you can clearly get this sub without paying, it just take time to get some in-game money, Kamas. I recommed new players starting on Ilyzaelle or Jahash servers, they are limited to one account per person and they have inter community ready to help you. Give it a look, you won't regret it. Pepo They also have a game named "Wakfu" it looks like Dofus but it's slightly different. They have fully free servers, maybe start from there?
Dying Light (COOP) :
It's a great coop game (up to 4 players). Story is in a zombie apocalypse, you're a military here to get informations, but end up liking locals, you'll have good hours of gameplay with friends, game isn't expensive at all nowadays, just get on g2a, instant gaming or websites like this.
Vindictus (K-MMORPG) :
Vindictus is a korean mmorpg, it's not as popular as it used to be but remains a very good game if you like difficulty in beat them all games, Dark Souls is a joke compared to Vindictus. Grind your gear, gameplay is litterally boss crushing and that's really enjoyable. Leveling only takes few hours and you'll have access to first "raids" (they are bosses). Nowadays they give you a really decent starting set.
Hero Siege (POE/Diablo like) :
It's an indy game and works with seasons. It's pretty enjoyable if you liked the two others games mentionned above. Kill monsters, bosses, clean maps, upgrade your gear and get currency.
Some other coop games :
For the king, Alien Swarm (free), Don't Starve Together, Risk of Rain 2, Terraria, Magicka.
