Fortnite's marketing strategy - targeted black community?

Fortnite is definitely the HOTTEST game of this year. In my opinion this is thanks to their marketing strategy which was pretty unusual for a game.
Fortnite's marketing plan was heavily targeted to the black community. The emotes.. the shares on WSHH, big meme pages etc. makes me think that it was all planned and far from coincidence.
What are your opinions?
