Mozila Firefox
Makes Chrome look old
Firefox has been playing catch-up ever since Google Chrome went up to the throne.
Alongside all of the usual privacy options, Firefox also has built-in anti-tracker protection.Firefox is the first web browser that actively taps into the power of your computer’s multi-core processor.Alongside all of the usual cookie options and “Do Not Track” request possibilities. This is something that Firefox first offered as part of its private browsing mode, but you can now enjoy its enhancements during everyday browsing too. It results in a faster web browsing experience. Better yet, the websites you visit won’t be able to harvest as much information about you.Firefox offers the most secure online browsing experience of the big options right now.Last but not least, the speed of Firefox can not be caught!
Chrome
The overestimated browser
Google Chrome is one of the best internet browsers because it is easy to use and secure, and it syncs your preferences and bookmarks across multiple devices. However, Chrome is slow compared to other browsers, and it comes in a large file. While it wasn’t as fast as Mozilla Firefox in navigation tests, Chrome still performs well and is equally good at protecting against phishing schemes and malware downloads.Chrome took a while to navigate from one page to another, which makes it *one of the slowest browsers. However,It didn't allow harmful malware like other browsers did, and it recognized and warned us about most phishing sites.Chrome also blocks pop-ups, includes a password manager and allows for private browsing.Last but not least,we can not decline that it uses...A LOT of RAM for no reason.
Opera
The grandpa
Probably, the oldest web browser that’s currently receiving active development still, improving itself. The desktop version of the web browser includes some features that are usually designed for smartphones, like, a data compression mode, and battery saver. Other exciting features the Opera can flaunt are in-built ad-blocker, screenshot tool, VPN service, currency converter, etc.Users can install *Chrome extensions in Opera*. That’s because the browser has started using the same engine as Chromium. However it is not the most secure browser you can find.
Brave
The fastest browser
Brave is open source and built by a team of privacy focused, performance oriented pioneers of the web.Brave loads major news sites 2 to 8 times faster than Chrome/Safari on mobile and 2 times faster than Chrome on desktop.Brave also has a pre build feature that blocks ads and trackers, like Firefox.Something that really have blown my mind is that you can earn rewards and give back to your favorite Creators with micropayments. Brave features blockchain-based tokens which can be used to reward content creators.
(Last time I used Brave it had a bug with the alert windows.)
EDIT:
After a year I decided to switch to Brave for a few months. I can say it is very snappy and without any doubt more lightweight than chrome but it supports chrome functionality. It maybe become my new default browser!
