Not sure if this has been posted here before, but a while ago I found a program that allows you to use any official skin (but only you can see it - so basically just a custom skin). They also have a lot of community made skins, maps, loading screen borders and so on. So far had no problems whatsoever with it.
They have a guide on how to use it. Recently they introduced a new verification process, so the program wouldn't get reposted to other sites without credit.
