I’ve been playing since season 2, playing comp since season 7.
Have never placed high or made any money or anything crazy, but I’ve always been able to hold my own. Place top 2kish in cash cups, my highest being 457th. I typically am just shy of round 2 for fncs. I’m 21 years old with a job and full time college. I know I don’t have the time to be amazing, but I’m used to being pretty good.
All of the sudden, I can’t keep up. I haven’t taken a break. Just suddenly, with this whole “piece control meta” I can’t keep up. I’ll never knock people for improving and I’ll always love Fortnite for its skill ceiling, but has anyone else felt this way? I adapted to the build fight meta, adapted to the box fight meta, adapted to all sorts of things, but this whole piece control environment is finally getting to me. I just can’t keep up in solos.
