Now, I must admit; I've been keeping this recipe a secret for a very long time. For a time being it was the only valuable asset in my life
and now, some time later, I feel the need to share this masterpiece with you guys.
I'm not talking about fried chicken in fancy brioche bun here, no baby.
I AM NOT talking about the weak dryass English sandwiches in toast cut in half, no sir.
What you're about to read is probably one of THE BEST chicken sandwich recipes you'll find on the surface web.
So let's begin...
Ingredients:
150g of chicken breast
1/8 cabbage head (100g in my case)
Chicken or beef stock (stock cube is you're a broke student like I was)
Mayonnaise
Salt and pepper
Curry powder (Or any other mixture of spices you like)
Vinegar
and one somun (kind of flatbread, pita bread etc)
process:
1. Dice the chicken, add the spices you want, in the oily pan it goes.
2. While the chicken is getting cooked shred the cabbage and add salt, pepper and vinegar to it (mix well).
3. Once the chicken is cooked cut the somun is half (Like when you're making a hamburger duhh) and lightly soak the inside of it with your stock -> place it on top of your chicken while still in pan.
This will allow your somun to become soft and also let it soak in all the aroma from chicken.
4. Mix your mayo with a bit of the stock to make it more liquid.
5. Once you're happy with how soft your somun is start assembling your sandwich, correct oder is somun, chicken, mayo, cabbage, somun
6. IMPORTANT: You HAVE to press the sandwich once you've assembled it. I don't know why but it tastes way better after you do it.
Enjoy!
