Been using this for so long now. As to when exactly, I don’t even remember. Glad I have found it. It made my job easier ever since. Been recommending it to several friends already and all I have are positive remarks. I could see that they are still using it.
Perhaps, you already have it, too. To cut the suspense, I am referring to TechSmith’s Snagit. I am not aware or have not tried other products of TechSmith yet but for certain I got what I’m looking for with Snagit when it comes to screen capturing tools.
Once you run it, be it manual or autorun, you are just a PrintScreen away on capturing your screen’s Image, Text, Video or Web. Mind you, I prefer using the older versions. I am stuck at version 9.0.0.0. It’s version 1998. Recent version, 10.0.0.+ might have other features. Just Google it to download and try it yourself.
Snagit has a capability to capture your screen’s “Region”. Simply drag to precise size you wanted to capture. You can also capture the active “Window” or “Full Screen” which obviously for capturing your entire screen. If screen full is not enough especially on capturing contents of website, you may select “Screen Window”.
On editing your captured images, Snagit has its own Snagit editor. For simple task like resizing images and cropping, you may skip using CorelDraw and Photoshop for a while. You can also add borders with different colors and sizes. Effects that would take some time using other graphic software like creating shadows, changing perspective and shear are just clicks away. If you don’t want redundancy on designs, you can add edges like shark tooth, saw, thorn, fading etc.
When done editing, you may opt on saving it as jpg, bmp, png, tif, etc, or you may also save it as a PDF. Other than saving, the option goes on like transferring or copying to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and alike.
You may try testing the rest of the features like video and web capture. I don’t want to talk about its awards and high ratings but try it now and rate it yourself.
