Hi all,
Currently doing a research project with the topic "Evaluating the benefits of Security software upgrades"
Want to discuss an artefact/solution that I can use to be able to prove that upgrading software provides benefits for users.
One idea I came up with was upgrading OS versions such as from Windows 7 to 10 would be vendor support and patching of exploits such as the wannacry ransomware attacks.
Coming up with a practical way of showing the benefits upgrading provides is quite a challenge and would like to know any ideas that could help me achieve this.
Just come to realise updating and upgrading are not the same and would have been probably better to go with updating, such as for updating anti-malware programs to update the database and offers more security.
However I have chose upgrading and don't know if there is much to actually write about this topic.
