Hello
.
I am here today to bring you a password manager guide.
Requirements:
-Ability to follow instructions
-WinRAR Archiver program
Step 1
Open this link
You must upgrade your account or reply in the thread to view hidden text.
and download the "New Text File Document.txt" file and WinRAR set up application if you don't already have it.
Step 2
You will get a file called "New Text Document.txt" This is what we will use to store our password and credentials and various other types of information. Name this file to something non-suspicious. For this example I will name mine "School projects.txt"
Open up the text file and you will see a column of boxes. One big box on the top, four small boxes in the middle, and another big box on the bottom. One of these segments is what will distinguish the password/credentials for a site. Name the top, and bottom boxes to whatever you'd like and fill in the User:Pass for the site in the smaller four boxes. For my example I will use this segment for email accounts. In the smaller box is the email address, followed by the password. Step 3
Hit "Ctrl+S" or left click on "File" and click "Save" to update the text document. Close the document and re-open it to make sure that it has saved.
Now that the text document has some login info we can now make it secure by using the WinRAR archiver tool. Right click on the text document, then click on "Add to archive..."
A new window will pop up. Click on "Set password" in the new window and enter a password of your desired choice, then click "OK" This will make a new ".RAR" file on your desktop. We can now delete the text document.txt file because it is no longer needed
Step 4
Go onto your desktop and locate the text document.RAR file. Double click to open it and you will see the text document inside of the WinRAR window followed by an *. This indicates that there is a password on the file. To open it, double click the text document.txt* file and you will be prompted with a password to open it. Enter the password you used to create the .RAR file to open the text document. The text document will now open to display your credentials.
Your password manager is now complete.
To quickly open your mange passwords/logins, hit the Windows button on the keyboard to bring up the search menu, and type in the first 4 letters of the .RAR file and hit enter. This will open the WinRAR window where you type in the password to view the file. To update the archive, open the text document in WinRAR, add in any credentials, hit "Ctrl+S" to save, and you will prompted with this window. Hit Yes and the archive will update.
Please don't leach and show if you appreciated it.
