Recently, I stumbled upon Steemit.com, which promises to pay its users for getting upvotes and predicting trends, all based on its native currency, https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-STEEM. I will give you a short overview about what the site has to offer, and how you can profit trough it. Feel free to leave your thoughts and comments below.
What is Steem? Steem is the currency used by steemit. Whenever you earn something, it will be paid to you in steem, which can be converted into bitcoin, at a current rate of about 0.005 BTC / STEEM, that's like 3.3$. • By creating posts and getting upvotes

• By curating posts

The first option is pretty straight forward. If your post gets a lot of attention, you will earn a lot, and I really mean a lot, of money. Here's an example of what the best posts right now earn:
And that's not even the maximum amount, a makeup tutorial has recently gotten 30k$+. There is no fix amount of money per upvote, though. The money you earn depends on the people that upvote, and how much STEEM POWER they possess. STEEM POWER is basically the backbone of steemit, as it determines the value of an upvote. One can simply buy STEEM POWER trough BTC or STEEM, however, it's only withdrawable after 2 years. Now let's talk about curating posts. This is a really good option to farm both STEEM and STEEM POWER, and it is what keeps the community clean of spammy, botted posts. It works as follows: You go trough existing posts (https://steemit.com/created/) and try to predict which ones will be upvoted by many other aswell. If you're the one to give the first upvote on the next 30k$+ post, you will earn a very good amount of money aswell. 50% of the money raised by a post is distributed by the curators, which are all people that upvoted, and the other 50% go into the author's pocked. I dont see any ads. Where does the money come from? You are right, there are no ads on steemit, because there are none needed.
