Often you will see people struggle in lane against Hiemerdinger and feel if though they can't do anything such as trade or cs without getting poked down. The best way to play against Heimer with any champion is to constantly auto attack the wave from level 1.Heimer auto pushes the wave with his turrets and so to keep the wave even you need constantly auto attack.Even better is if you can manage to push the wave into his turret because Heimer can't cs under tower very well. (Just be careful of ganks i guess)
What constantly Auto attacking does is keeps your wave even or bigger than his. This helps to destroy his turrets more frequently and stops him from setting up three turrets right in the middle of lane. This causes a nightmare for you and your jungler to gank. If you push the wave it causes Hiemer to use turrets more frequently and hence he runs out of Mana much quicker.
